MANILAvola, Philippines — The Metro Rail Transit Line 3 is not offering free rides for the entire year as part of the MRT-3’s 30th anniversary.
The MRT-3 management issued the statement yesterday after a Facebook page “Manila Transport” announced the year-long free rides on the EDSA rail line.
Manila Transport is not affiliated with the rail management.
“Any announcements on Manila Transport Facebook page, including supposed promotion for free rides, are not associated with the rail line,” the MRT-3 management said.
The Facebook page allegedly requested for the bank account details of MRT-3 passengers.
The rail management reminded the public to wait for announcements on free rides on https://www.facebook.com/dotrmrt3.
Up to 24vola,998 government employees were given free MRT-3 rides from Sept. 18 to 20 as part of the 124th anniversary of the Philippine civil service.
