SANTA MAGDALENA, Sorsogon — Sea travel has resumed in certain areas of the province, though restrictions remain in place for regions still under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1.
As of 5 a.m. advisory on Friday (Oct. 25), the Sorsogon Coast Guard station lifted the suspension of trips, allowing 2,273 passengers and 608 rolling cargoes at Matnog port to set sail.
Article continues after this advertisementBut in the northern and central areas of Sorsogon, passenger and cargo vessels, as well as mini bulk carriers, are still prohibited from sailing.

The areas still affected include Castilla, Magallanes, Pilar, Casiguran, Donsol, Juban, Gubat, Prieto Diaz, Bulan and Sorsogon City.
